The Leadership Center will focus on providing programming for students in the 4th through 8th grades whose courses include the study of New York State Government. The Center’s activities will draw primarily from the experiences of New York Governors. Using the latest in Internet applications, students will learn the mechanics of governing; how bills become laws; what is an executive order; what are the legal and functional differences between the executive and legislative branches; and what are the laws guiding ethics and public information.
The Leadership Center's goal is to make the American dream a reality for the next generation of young New York leaders, the Center will provide support to those students who have demonstrated a commitment to public service.
